The general meeting of Xiamen University European and American Alumni Association (Xiamen University Overseas Alumni Association) was held in Siming Campus. At the meeting, Professor Li Xiaohong, President of the current Council, made a work report on behalf of the current Council. Subsequently, the General Assembly elected 54 members as the directors of the new board of directors, and a new board of directors was elected through the Council meeting. Professor Hou was elected as the president, nine Vice Presidents were Zhong Wei, Shi Hongmei, Zhu Xiaoqin, Zhu Xuan, Wang Weilei, Shen Zhe, Wang Huiqiong, Zhang Defu and Lian Wei, and Lian Wei was appointed as the secretary general, eight Vice Secretaries were Zhang Hongliang, Guo Jie, Xiao Ningyao, Meng Mengmeng, Guo Shumin, Cai Xiuying, Li Guochao and Ouyang Ruyi. At the same time, Li Xiaohong and Xu Qi were recruited as consultants of Xiamen University's European and American Alumni Association. Congratulations to Professor Hou on being elected as the President of Xiamen University's European and American Alumni Association!

Professor Hou hosted the Deputy Chief Engineer and the Director of the Intelligent Applications Laboratory from the Changzhou Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute. He delivered a key presentation on the space-based gas-liquid separation using new liquid-based materials and held in-depth discussions on potential future collaborations.

Nitto Future Innovation Research Center developed a strong interest in liquid gating technology during its advanced materials research and proactively contacted Professor Hou. Subsequently, a delegation led by the director of the institute specially visited Xiamen University. During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with Professor Hou on this technology, toured the relevant laboratories and experimental facilities, and expressed strong expectations for deeper collaboration with our team in the future.
