Professor Hou was honored with the 6th CCS "Elite Young Chemists Excellence Award" in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of bioinspired micro-nanochannel systems. He pioneered the concepts of "Liquid Gating Technology" and "Bioinspired Nanofluidic Iontronics", leading the frontier fundamental and applied research of new liquid-based materials. The series of groundbreaking achievements he has made have significantly contributed to the development of this field.
Professor Hou was honored with the 6th CCS "Elite Young Chemists Excellence Award" in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of bioinspired micro-nanochannel systems. As the world's most authoritative chemical organization, IUPAC has acknowledged the disruptive potential of "Bioinspired Nanofluidic Iontronics" in both innovation and practical applications, designating it as a key direction for the future of chemistry. This concept was first proposed by Professor Hou in 2021 (Science, 2021, 373, 628-629) and has promoted its global development.

The outstanding performance of team members Zhang Jian, Liu Jing, Zhang Yunmao, and four others highlights the research group's strength and creativity in exploring scientific frontiers.

Professor Hou was selected as the Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society (FCCS). Fellows of the Chinese Chemical Society (FCCS) are the highest membership level that CCS Members can achieve. Senior members who have made systematic, creative achievements, and who have made significant contributions in chemistry and related fields or made outstanding contributions to the development of CCS can be nominated to become CCS Fellows. Nominations for new CCS Fellows are brought forward by no fewer than two current CCS Fellows.
